مهدی جهانی، متولد ۱۹ فروردین ۱۳۶۰ در تهران، خواننده، آهنگساز و ترانه‌سرای ایرانی است. پدرش اهل شیراز و مادرش از گیلان هستند. او از کودکی به موسیقی علاقه‌مند بود و با همراهی پدرش به رادیو می‌رفت که این تجربه‌ها علاقه‌اش به آهنگسازی را تقویت کرد.
تحصیلات مهدی جهانی در مقطع کارشناسی ارشد موسیقی است. او در سال ۱۳۸۶ با حمایت پدرش و خرید تجهیزات صوتی، فعالیت حرفه‌ای خود را آغاز کرد. با راهنمایی دوستانش، برنامه‌های آهنگسازی را آموخت و با مطالعه کتاب‌های مرتبط، دانش خود را در این زمینه گسترش داد.
در سال ۱۳۸۸، در دوران دانشجویی، آلبوم «دنیای خواب» را ضبط کرد که پس از سه سال موفق به دریافت مجوز و انتشار آن شد. دو ترانه «همنفس» و «خورشیدک زیبا» از این آلبوم با استقبال گسترده‌ای مواجه شدند و حتی در برنامه‌های تلویزیونی و ورزشی پخش شدند.
مهدی جهانی مدتی با علیشمس همکاری داشت و چندین آهنگ و ویدئوی مشترک منتشر کردند. این همکاری‌ها، هرچند موفق، به دلیل پخش بدون مجوز ویدئوها در فضای مجازی، منجر به ممنوع‌الکاری شش‌ماهه او شد. با این حال، او به فعالیت‌های هنری خود ادامه داد و در شهریور ۱۳۹۶ اولین کنسرت رسمی خود را در سالن میلاد نمایشگاه بین‌المللی تهران برگزار کرد.
Mehdi Jahani, born on April 8, 1981, in Tehran, is an Iranian singer, composer, and songwriter. His father is originally from Shiraz, and his mother is from Gilan. From a young age, he showed a passion for music and often accompanied his father to radio studios, which further fueled his interest in composing music.
Mehdi Jahani holds a master’s degree in music. In 2007, with his father’s support, he purchased professional audio equipment and began his professional career. He learned music composition through practice and by studying various books on the subject, enhancing his skills independently.
In 2009, during his university years, he recorded his album Donyaye Khab (World of Dreams), which received official approval for release after three years. Songs like Hamnafas (Companion) and Khorshidak Ziba (Beautiful Little Sun) gained significant popularity, with some tracks even being featured in television programs and sports events.
Jahani later collaborated with Alishmas, releasing several joint songs and videos that gained wide attention. However, due to the unauthorized release of these videos online, he faced a six-month performance ban. Despite this setback, he continued his artistic journey and, in September 2017, held his first official concert at the Milad Hall of the Tehran International Exhibition Center.
