سعید شنبه‌زاده یکی از شناخته‌شده‌ترین موسیقی‌دانان و نوازندگان ایرانی است که اصالتاً اهل جنوب ایران و زاده‌ی بندرعباس یا بوشهر است. او از دوران کودکی با موسیقی محلی جنوب ایران، به‌ویژه موسیقی بوشهری، آشنا شد و سازهای بومی مانند نی‌انبان، دمام، و نی‌جفتی را به خوبی فرا گرفت. علاقه‌ی شدید او به موسیقی سنتی نواحی جنوبی ایران باعث شد از همان ابتدا مسیر هنری خود را با تمرکز بر احیای این سبک آغاز کند.
شنبه‌زاده در جوانی گروه موسیقی «شنبه‌زاده» را تأسیس کرد که با اجرای موسیقی فولکلور و آیینی جنوب ایران، توجه بسیاری از مخاطبان داخلی و خارجی را جلب کرد. اجرای پرشور و زنده‌ی این گروه با استفاده از سازهای سنتی و ریتم‌های خاص، مخاطبان را با فرهنگ موسیقایی جنوب ایران آشنا می‌کند. موسیقی او نه‌تنها جنبه‌ی سرگرمی دارد، بلکه حامل پیام‌ها و داستان‌های بومی مردم جنوب است.
او در کنار اجراهای متعدد داخلی، در صحنه‌های بین‌المللی نیز حضوری فعال داشته است و در جشنواره‌های موسیقی در اروپا، آمریکا و آسیا شرکت کرده است. سبک منحصربه‌فرد او که ترکیبی از موسیقی سنتی، جَز، و بلوز است، باعث شده تا موسیقی جنوب ایران به زبان جهانی‌تری ترجمه شود و مورد استقبال مخاطبان غیرایرانی نیز قرار گیرد.
سعید شنبه‌زاده علاوه بر نوازندگی، در زمینه‌ی تحقیق و پژوهش در موسیقی نواحی نیز فعالیت دارد. او با جمع‌آوری آهنگ‌های قدیمی، مصاحبه با موزیسین‌های محلی، و ضبط اجراهای آیینی، نقش مهمی در حفظ و گسترش میراث موسیقایی جنوب ایران ایفا کرده است. سبک زندگی هنری او همواره با اصالت، انرژی، و احترام به ریشه‌های فرهنگی همراه بوده است.
در سال‌های اخیر، شنبه‌زاده در فرانسه ساکن شده و همکاری‌هایی با هنرمندان بین‌المللی داشته است. او همچنان به اجرای زنده، تولید آثار جدید، و آموزش موسیقی بومی ادامه می‌دهد و به عنوان یکی از چهره‌های برجسته در موسیقی معاصر ایران شناخته می‌شود.
Saeid Shanbehzadeh is one of the most renowned Iranian musicians and instrumentalists, originally from southern Iran, born in either Bandar Abbas or Bushehr. From a young age, he became familiar with the local music of southern Iran—especially the music of Bushehr—and mastered traditional instruments such as the Ney-Anban (bagpipe), Damam (drum), and Ney-Jofti (double flute). His deep passion for traditional southern music led him to begin his artistic journey with a focus on reviving this unique style.
In his youth, he founded the “Shanbehzadeh Ensemble,” a music group that gained attention by performing folk and ritual music from southern Iran. Their energetic live performances, using traditional instruments and specific southern rhythms, introduced audiences to the musical culture of Iran’s southern regions. His music not only entertains but also carries the stories and messages of the southern people.
Shanbehzadeh has been active not only in Iran but also on international stages, performing at music festivals across Europe, the United States, and Asia. His unique style, which blends traditional music with jazz and blues, has helped translate the music of southern Iran into a global language, attracting audiences from all over the world.
In addition to performing, Saeid Shanbehzadeh is also active in research and documentation of regional music. He has contributed significantly to preserving and promoting the musical heritage of southern Iran by collecting old songs, interviewing local musicians, and recording traditional performances. His artistic life is defined by authenticity, energy, and a deep respect for cultural roots.
In recent years, Shanbehzadeh has been based in France and has collaborated with international artists. He continues to perform live, create new works, and teach traditional music, making him one of the prominent figures in contemporary Iranian music.
