Rana Mansour<\/strong> is an Iranian-American singer and pianist, born on November 16, 1981, in Alexandria, Virginia. She grew up in an artistic family; her father was a prominent filmmaker, and her mother a producer and director at the National Iranian Television before the revolution. Mansour began her musical journey at the age of four, studying piano under the guidance of Golnoush Khaleghi. She later attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where she graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music.<\/p>\n

Throughout her career, Mansour has showcased her versatility by performing in multiple languages and genres, including pop and jazz. She has released several albums, such as “Suite 16” in 1997, “The Adventures of Indygyrl” in 2008, her self-titled Persian album “Rana Mansour” in 2015, and “Eshghe Naab” in 2019. Her performances have graced various international stages, including festivals like Tirgan in Toronto and the Nikan festival in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

Mansour has also appeared on Persian-language television channels, including Voice of America, BBC Persian, and Manoto TV. In March 2015, she performed songs like “Ki Ashkato Pak Mikone” and “Shabzadeh” during the “Nim Qarn” program, honoring Ebrahim Hamedi’s (Ebi) 50 years of artistic activity. Additionally, she was featured on the Bravo TV show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” performing her original song “No Place Like Home.”<\/p>\n

In November 2022, Mansour delivered a poignant performance of Shervin Hajipour’s song “Baraye” on the finale of “The Voice of Germany,” expressing solidarity with Iranian protesters and receiving a standing ovation.
