Tehran, is an Iranian singer, musician, and composer known for his fusion of Persian classical music with contemporary global styles. He was the only child in his family and lost his father in a car accident when he was just 11 months old. Encouraged by his mother, who had a deep love for music, he pursued a career in the arts.<\/p>\n<p>Nikpay began singing Persian classical songs and learning traditional melodies at the age of eight. He later studied the tar and setar under masters such as Zeidollah Tolouei and Houshang Zarif. By the age of 17, he had seriously focused on singing, training under prominent Iranian vocalists like Mozaffar Shafiei and Hessamoddin Seraj.<\/p>\n<p>He graduated in music from Sooreh University and collaborated with several music ensembles during his studies. He was part of the &#8220;Rumi&#8221; group led by Pedram Derakhshani and the &#8220;Dalaho&#8221; group led by Masoud Habibi. Additionally, Nikpay contributed as an oud player in the film <em>Mihan-e Maman<\/em> and participated in theatrical productions like <em>Siavashkhani<\/em> and <em>Gol o Ghadareh<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, he immigrated to the United States, where he began teaching Persian classical music and held numerous concerts in the US and Europe. He has released several albums, including <em>Gozar-e Tanha<\/em> (The Lonely Passage), <em>Asoodeh<\/em> (At Peace), and <em>Divanatar<\/em> (More Insane), blending Persian musical elements with modern global influences.<\/p>\n<p>Nikpay has also appeared as a judge in music talent shows. He was a judge on the Iranian version of <em>Stage<\/em> and currently hosts <em>The Voice Iran<\/em>.
