August 6, 1956, in the village of Asara near Karaj. He completed his high school education in Iran and then moved to the Philippines to study agricultural engineering. In July 1987, he immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, where he lived for 14 years. During his time in Canada, he worked in various jobs, including mechanic, pizza delivery, mail carrier, and eventually opened his own restaurant. His interest in music began in childhood, and he started singing in the fifth grade. He believes that his passion for singing is hereditary, as his father, uncle, and older brother also had good voices and sang at family gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>In 1998, Asraei began his professional music career by forming the band &#8220;Ghazal&#8221; with Kamran, Hengameh, and Ramin Zamani. Two years later, he established the band &#8220;Parvaz,&#8221; which produced the song &#8220;Iran Iranam.&#8221; His first album, &#8220;Avalin Salam&#8221; (First Greeting), was released in 2001 and included tracks like &#8220;Avalin Salam,&#8221; &#8220;Gol Andam,&#8221; &#8220;Jadeh Eshgh,&#8221; and &#8220;Dokhtar Bandar.&#8221; Although this album did not achieve significant success, his second album, &#8220;Gharibeh&#8221; (Stranger), released in 2004, was a major hit and broke sales records in Iran. Songs like &#8220;Gol Hayahoo,&#8221; &#8220;Kabootar,&#8221; and &#8220;Booye Sib&#8221; became particularly popular.<\/p>\n<p>Following the success of &#8220;Gharibeh,&#8221; Asraei released several other albums, including &#8220;Az To Dooram&#8221; (2007), &#8220;Remix&#8221; (2008), &#8220;Khaterat Gomshodeh&#8221; (2011), and &#8220;Eshgh Yani&#8221; (2014). The album &#8220;Eshgh Yani&#8221; was awarded Best Album of the Year at the third annual Musicema Awards in 2015. The song &#8220;Salam&#8221; from this album, featuring violinist Saeed Hazrati and lyrics by Hossein Ghiasi, was recognized as one of the strongest melodies of 2009.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his music career, Asraei served as a judge on the television talent show &#8220;Shab-e Kook&#8221; on Nasim TV. He was also appointed as an ambassador for drug prevention in Alborz Province and participated in the group album &#8220;Begu Na&#8221; (Say No), aimed at raising awareness about social harms and addiction.
