Javad Yasari<\/strong>, a beloved Iranian street-style singer, was born on August 28, 1944, in the Shahpour neighborhood of Tehran. From a young age, he was passionate about wrestling and traditional Iranian sports, participating in clubs like Foolad and Ferdowsi. After an injury forced him to quit sports, he ventured into selling household appliances. Following financial setbacks, he took his friends’ advice and pursued singing professionally in 1973.<\/p>\n

Yasari gained fame with the song “Black Money” by Ali Navadoost and released five albums before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, with “Sepideh Dam” being the last. Post-revolution, he was banned from official performances in Iran for 40 years and mainly held concerts in neighboring countries like the UAE. In 2018, he received official permission to perform in Iran by appearing in the film “Enemy of Women” and singing the song “Shakhe Nabat”.<\/p>\n

Yasari’s musical style blends folk, romantic, and social themes, resonating deeply with working-class audiences. He takes pride in his Tehran roots and close ties to the southern parts of the city, often referring to himself as a “child of Darvazeh Ghar”.<\/p>\n

In his personal life, Yasari married in 1966 and had three sons: Reza, Mehdi, and Majid. Tragically, Majid died in 1995 abroad due to gas inhalation in a bathroom, and Reza passed away from cancer in Belgium in 2017. Mehdi, his only surviving son, currently resides in Iran.<\/p>\n
