composer, and actor.<\/p>\n<p>Reza Yazdani began his professional career in 1998 by composing and singing for the theater production <em>The Controversial Trial<\/em>. In 1999, he also composed and performed for the theater production <em>If It Rains<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>He released his debut album <em>City of Hearts<\/em> in 2001. In 2010, Yazdani appeared in the feature film <em>The Smell of Wheat<\/em>, directed by Mohammadreza Khaki, and performed the song <em>Persian Gulf<\/em> for the film. In 2013, he sang the title track for the movie <em>The Special Line<\/em>, directed by Mostafa Kiaei.<\/p>\n<p>In the spring of 2014, Yazdani released the song <em>Homeland Means<\/em> for the Iranian national football team during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. In August 2015, he performed at the <em>Night of Film Music by Masoud Kimiai<\/em>, conducted by Behzad Abdi. In 2017, he was a vocalist for the play <em>Old Songs: The Arrow of Youth<\/em> alongside Ehsan Karami and Hana Kamkar, directed by Mohammad Rahmanian.<\/p>\n<p>He won the Annual Music of Iran Award for his album <em>Duel in the Mirror<\/em> as the <em>Best Pop Rock Album<\/em> in 2016 and the People\u2019s Choice Award in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Yazdani acted in the movie <em>Pig<\/em> directed by Mani Haghighi. That year, he also sang in the theater production <em>Several Travelers<\/em>, directed by Mohammad Rahmanian. In the same year, he performed as both an actor and singer in the movie <em>Sophie and the Mad<\/em>, directed and produced by Mehdi Karampour. During Ramadan in 2019, Yazdani sang and acted in the TV series <em>Forgotten Memories<\/em>, directed by Bahram Bahramian. In the summer of 2019, he performed in the theater production <em>Street Romances<\/em>, directed by Shahram Gilabadi.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Yazdani won the Hafez Award for the <em>Best Series and Film Title Track<\/em> for his performance of the song <em>Eshghat<\/em> in the series <em>Forgotten Memories<\/em>, directed by Bahram Bahramian.
